SPOT quality in all genres

The task of finding acts for SPOT Festival 2011 has begun.

For four days, from morning until night, the Danish/international curator group have worked their way through the many applications and are now ready with their bid on how the exciting Danish music will sound this year at SPOT Festival 2011.
The acts chosen by the curator group will now be contacted in order to get their participation at this year's festival confirmed.

887 acts have applied to play SPOT Festival 2011, which is fairly the same amount of applications as last year. The three curators, Le Gammeltoft (DJ/radio host, Denmark), Alexandra Edelmann (Montreux Jazz Festival, Switzerland) and Tim Hole (Audio Authority Management, United Kingdom) all   stand 100% behind the chosen acts.

- Although our backgrounds are very different, it's remarkable how unanimous we've been about the names we've chosen, says Le Gammeltoft, who is especially excited about some really interesting electronic acts, while Tim Hole points out that there are all kinds of reasons to visit SPOT Festival this year, because ”there'll be quality music in all genres” - 10 of the acts are what we call really original, acts you can look forward to seeing, concludes Alexandre Edelmann.

The first SPOT acts will be announced in the beginning of February.
