SPOT's Grand Old Man
When 67-year-old Niels Skousen goes on stage at SPOT, he will be the oldest and most experienced artist ever to have played at the festival! And it is therefore fitting that this grand old man will tell us about his career and answer questions from the crowd during the concert.
Skousen is a veteran in Danish rock. He has been active since 1964 and released his first album “Herfra hvor vi står” together with Peter Ingemann in 1971. With this release he helped form Danish rock and sowed the seed for the next 40 years of rock history in our country. This year the album is celebrating its 40th anniversary and has recently been rereleased. In 2002 he enjoyed a tremendous comeback with the album “Dobbeltsyn” and today he has got serious indie cred, which very few in his generation can match.
