That is what French Films excell in with their seductive and playful pop music, which evokes associations to Wavves and The Drums, who are also riding high on the global surf wave. But what has Finnish surf got to do with films about people smoking in cafes? Nothing! But who cares? The sound of French films is so appealing that nothing else seems to matter for a while. |
