Residing in DK the Egyptian singer Fatma Zidane is a super star in her home country, from where she is a classically trained musician. Her hybrid of dance, pop, folk music from the Middle East and her own compositions emphatically refutes prejudice about Arabic/Turkish music being neither tuneful nor dance-friendly. Her music is balm for the soul and helps brigde the culture gap that remains between native Danes and immigrants after all. |
